HOW NICK KNACKS CAME TO BE
My love for fashion and design was felt long before the badazzled hats and sparkled masks. From a young girl, my dream was to become the next Tracey Reese. Designing sets for black girls around the world who look just like me...
My artistic niche would withstand the test of time and would manifest through home decor pieces and clothing that I would customize for myself and family. Those designs started to catch the eye of others who then encouraged me to share my artistic eye with those around me. Luckily I had just the group to express my artistic talents with.
I am a proud member of the HISTORIC Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Skee Wee Sorors!). My first public project came in October 2014 when I was tasked with designing the centerpieces for our 25th Anniversary Celebration at Morgan State’s Homecoming. They were a resounding success with those in attendance and that experience proved to not only be the foundation, but also gave me the confidence to pursue my passion. I decided to step out on faith. With God in my heart, and my family by my side, "Nick Knacks" was born.
I am proud to announce that we are officially launching the business. We are expanding the product line with new items, clothes, and colorways being added weekly.
